Stacey Sproule and The Purl Divers’ Vision

Stacey has been knitting since she was a girl, and was given lessons by all the women in her family. As an artist Stacey uses knitting in her installation and performance work. She has taught knitting classes at Art Heart Community Centre and well-versed in sewing she has also taught quilting workshops in her home. Entranced with the mediative and therapeutic qualities of knitting as well as captivated by its mathematical complexities, Stacey insists that learning to knit will make you smarter, stronger, and better.
